Hiring an afterschool nanny or manny can be the perfect solution for parents of school-age children that need help in the afternoons during the school year. An afterschool nanny or manny can supervise your children during this period of the day. She or he can help with homework and other school assignments, can pick your child up from school and drive him to and from afterschool activities and can do some household tasks that can free up your time and energy in the evenings. An afterschool nanny or manny can be a wonderful helper to the working parent. Because the care provider will be transporting children we recommend the family provides a car for the care provider to use, or that they cover the expenses the care provider incurs on their personal vehicle, including proper insurance coverage for commercial vehicle use and the cost of gas.

An after school nanny or manny typically works 20-25 hours per week. Schedules vary depending on the family’s needs. Your part time care provider is likely fitting her or his work schedule around other jobs. A pre-determined set schedule is recommended as flexibility with part-time after school nanny or manny is limited.

We will work with you to develop a competitive compensation package based upon your family’s needs. Rates vary greatly depending on the after school nanny or mannys’ experience, expected duties, and schedule. Current rates for an after school nanny or manny are between $25-$40 per hour.
